| The project study area in the central Maine consists of The Nahmakanta Public Reserve Lands, a 43,000 acre forest near Milinocket, Maine. CFI plots in the Nahmakanta preserve are located on a 15 chain (300 meter) grid in most places, and a 10 chain (200 meter) grid in some others. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
